Abstract
Introduction: Following the intensification of international economic sanctions against Iran and the country's historical and structural dependence on revenue from oil exports, the phenomenon of "oil shocks" has emerged as a decisive factor in its economic fluctuations. This critical situation paved the way for the introduction and evolution of the concept of a "Resistance Economy" into Iran's economic discourse—a concept whose key indicators can be identified as "resilience" in the face of pressures and "reduced vulnerability" to external shocks.
Objective: The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of Resistance Economy indicators on Iran's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Methodology: Using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag method and data from the period 1991-2023, the impact of two indicators—economic resilience and economic vulnerability—on Iran's GDP has been analyzed.
Findings: The findings indicate that the economic resilience index has a positive and significant effect on GDP, while the economic vulnerability index has a negative and significant effect on it.
Conclusion: These results signify that increasing economic resilience and reducing economic vulnerability lead to an increase in Gross Domestic Product.
